—-out. right so in the hopes of getting more in touch with tom’s inner thoughts (bc as fiennes said, you can’t “play” him as “evil personified” because he’s got more layers than that, and as a roleplayer i am, too, playing him) i’ve searched through my boxes of books from my old(er) shelf, no longer in my room (or at the house, even, i donated it) & i’ve finally found a birthday gift from a good friend of mine, a book she gave me years ago: the science of evil: on empathy & the origins of cruelty by simon baron-cohen.
